The study was aimed at finding out, in an empirical way, if it is possible to isolate in the behavior of managers of research and designing teams a behavioral-cognitive syndrome called the subjective approach to subordinates, and what are the consequences of its presence for the functioning of the teams. The study covered 60 research and designing teams which, including the managers amounted to 367 persons. The study was made on the questionnaire, correlational basis. It occurs that it is possible to isolate in the behavior of managers a syndrome consisting of: conceeding to subordinates the right to autonomous decisions, being interested in the rights of subordinates, supplying them with information on the situation of their organization, behaving in an affiliative Interpersonal way. The declared views on the rights of others to subjectivity are not directly correlated with the subjective approach to subordinates. Wherever a manager manifests such approach the workers evaluate the management in their organization as more participational. The freedom for autonomous decision and the affiliative style of management increase the level of acceptance of the organizational aims by the workers.
