The Holy Father touches in the encyclicals three groups of problems related to management. He refers:(a)- to the issue of the epigenetic purpose of organization and the most important criteria of its functioning efficiency; (b)-to the negative effects of organizations' functioning, and (c)- to the ways of counteracting these effects. In the article thoughts of John Paul II about each of these three groups of problems were discussed as well as some problems (downsizing, critical approach to management studies, and the conception of spiritual organization) close to the Papal reflection and very important for the contemporary management theory and practice.

For a few last years an interest in corporate social responsibility has been very high. To realize this idea it is necessary to take some kinds of actions. Firstly, measurement of social consequences of organization functioning. Secondly, dissemination and verification of information gained through the measurement. These actions are elements of social accountability. Exactly this issue, rarely touched in Polish litereature, was discussed in the article. Especially such problems as: conceptualization of social accountability, its practices, its standards and problems with its application were described.

This article presents the subject of sexual harassment in the workplace. Oppressive behavior of a sexual nature is increasingly frequently recognized by practitioners and theoreticians of management as a kind of pathological behavior. It has a negative effect on the functioning of workers, groups, and organizations. Effective counteraction in the case of the appearance of oppressive behavior of a sexual nature requires an assessment of the range of the phenomenon, the detection of its causes, and a description of techniques for limiting its scale. These and other matters have been described in this article.

In the article it was demonstrated that no of such conditions is fulfiled in economy.

This article strives to present methods for shaping day-to-day, direct relations with subordinates and how this path is used to influence the level of their creative achievements. Special attention is paid to relations linking management style demonstrated by the superior with the creativity of subordinates. Moreover, the article engenders reflection on links between the assessment, reward, and penalty systems functioning in the organization and the creativity of people employed by it.
