W artykule, odwołując się do dziejów fotografii, ukazano jej rosnący zakres zastosowań dotyczący m.in. wykorzystania w badaniach naukowych, poligrafii oraz w sztuce. Wzrost dostępności nowego medium sprawił, że stało się ono przedmiotem powszechnej edukacji plastycznej. Analiza obowiązujących programów kształcenia pozwoliła przedstawić koncepcję edukowania nauczycieli.

Referring to history of photography, this article presents extending range of photography use, which concerns among others application in scientific research, printing industry and art. Increase in availability of this new medium caused that it has become object of common art education. Analysis of current curricula allows to present concepts for educating teachers.
