Jednak mimo tendencji wzrostu wydajności pracy i ziemi, wskaźniki te w Polsce pozostają nadal niższe niż w krajach UE-15.

This paper identifies and examines the changes which took place in Polish agriculture productivity as well as in other European Union countries in the period of 2000-2008. According to an EUROSTAT data analysis concerning land productivity in Poland, greater increases of land productivity occurred in Poland and similarly in the new accessed EU countries than in the countries of ‘old Union’. A labour productivity increase was also characteristic for the new accessed EU countries including Poland. The majority of high developed countries noted a lower labour productivity compared with that in 2000. But apart from the increasing labour and land productivity tendencies, these values are in Poland still lower than in the EU-15 countries.

Previous research has shown that 'the mere exposure effect' is strongest for subliminal presentations (meta-analysis: Bornstein, 1989). Further, in the range of subliminal presentations times, the relation between recognition and affect is paradoxical - participants cannot effectively recognize novel from familiar stimuli, yet they perceive the familiar stimuli as more pleasant. The mechanisms of this paradoxical phenomenon (named 'the primacy of affect'; Zajonc, 1984) remain unexplained. In this paper, we propose a simple neural network model ('EXAC': Exposure and Affect Counter) of the subliminal mere exposure effect. Analysis of the model's performance shows that the capability for fast novelty detection can be a natural property of very simple network structures. The novelty detection function generated by EXAC fits the affective function obtained from behavioral data. For weakly learned patterns (corresponding to short presentation times in behavioral research), the network model 'prefers' known stimuli before it can recognize them. AUTHORS' NOTE: The data in this paper and earlier description of the model was previously published in Polish in Drogosz M., & Nowak A., (1995) Symulacyjna teoria efektu ekspozycji: siec neuropodobna EXAC. Przeglad Psychologiczny, 38, 65–84.

W badanym okresie obserwuje się wyraźny wzrost wartości produkcji rolniczej, w Polsce wyniósł on blisko 65%. Zmiany w strukturze produkcji wyrażają się zmniejszeniem produkcji zbóż, buraków cukrowych, ziemniaków i żywca wieprzowego oraz wzrostem produkcji rzepaku i mleka. Pomimo tych zmian, udział Polski w produkcji unijnej wymienionych produktów nie uległ istotnym zmianom.

This paper makes an analysis of changes in both level and structure of rural production in Poland and in other EU countries. An author compared the year 2011 and 2004. An analysis showed that changes in Polish agriculture have the same direction like in EU. In surveyed period the growth of agricultural production is observed to be distinctly greater. The changes in production structure concern the diminishing tendency of both grain, sugar beets, potatoes and slaughter production but increasing tendency of rape and milk production. Despite of the above mentioned changes the share of Poland in Union rural production of mentioned products has not changed considerably.

Self regulation plays a crucial role in the stability of psychological processes. From the dynamical perspective self-regulation is manifested as the stabilization of psychological processes in the vicinity of equilibrium states - attractors of the system. Defects of self-regulation can be recast as defects of the structure of attractors. This article analyses low self-esteem and depression as defects of self-regulation, which are manifested as instability of positive states. Analysis of results revealed that low self-esteem is associated with instability of positive self relevant thought. High self esteem, in contrast, is associated with the stability of positive self-evaluation in self reflection and thus stability of attractor in positive self evaluation. A time series of over 20, monthly collected data, concerning depression in participants with bi-polar depression was analyzed with specific software to diagnose the attractor structure. The results have shown different configurations of attractors. Some individuals had the attractor in the area of low mood. In others two attractors co-exited: an attractor for positive mood and an attractor of the negative mood. Some others had no attractors, or could be characterized by the dynamics in which frequently visited states are unstable. Analysis of correlations revealed that individuals characterized by lack of stable attractors are more frequently hospitalized for depression and have higher suicidal tendencies. The results of both studies highlight the importance of self-regulation mechanisms for psychological well being.
