This article reviews contemporary phenomena that pose threats to effective education: academic disintegrity, academic procrastination, multitasking. The author makes a brief description of these phenomena and difficulties that might be associated with them and shows negative consequences for the learning youth.

Artykuł przedstawia zagadnienia związane z osobistym paszportem komunikacyjnym jako narzędziem wspierającym osoby z problemami komunikacyjnymi. Zaprezentowana zostanie aplikacja przeznaczona na urządzenia przenośne, pełniąca funkcję takiego paszportu wzbogaconego o możliwość wykorzystywania treści multimedialnych w postaci obrazów oraz plików audio i wideo. Istotnym elementem publikacji jest analiza zasadności włączenia takiego rozwiązania w proces edukacji dzieci korzystających z alternatywnych i wspomagających metod komunikacji (AAC) w kontekście poprawy jakości ich życia rodzinnego i społecznego.

Personal Communication Passport (PCP) – a tool supporting people with communication problems is presented in the paper. We describe a computer programme designed for mobile devices, acting as Multimodal, Personal Communication Passport (MPCP) which is equipped with a possibility to use multimodal data, such as images, audio and video recordings. In addition, we present an analysis of usefulness of MPCPs in the educational process of children using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) in the context of improving social and family life quality.
