Due to the rapid growth of world’s biggest cities we are able to witness a new subfamily of urban tourism. Nowadays some of the visitors prefer visiting new urban districts with spectacular and amazing contemporary architecture instead of historical district and museums. This phenomenon may be called new tourist off the beaten track although it differs a bit from the original form. Previously tourists used to focus on poor and forgotten urban districts. Today they are interested not only in those places but in the newest parts as well. They started searching districts which are the symbols of a great development of the societies and unbounded engineering’s thought. Review of the most popular Asian cities helps in finding the answer what may be the crucial tourist’s target in modern metropolis.

Dzisiaj wiele osób poszukuje czegoś zupełnie odmiennego – symbolu nieograniczonego rozwoju społeczeństw i najnowocześniejszej myśli inżynieryjnej.

El Legado Andalusí Foundation, set up in 1995, fulfilling its statutory goals and being supported by many respectable institutions, began to develop the concept of al-Andalus cultural routes. All the created routes, in terms of theme and direction, refer to the period of Arabic rule in Andalusia form the 8th to the 15th century. The aim of the article is to evaluate the level of organization of these cultural-tourist products. Their thorough analysis allows to draw the following conclusions: regardless of the excellent substantive preparation, they are virtual and organizationally underdone, to a large extent. They are rather a germ of an extremely interesting offer of cultural tourism. At the same time, large-scale activities carried out by the Foundation bring the Spanish-Muslim culture closer to those who are interested and they encourage to explore the offered theme routes.
