This article concerns language mechanisms used by Andrzej Sapkowski to create linguistic neologisms. It focuses on their structure, semantics and defining the role of this kind of lexicon in the linguistic image of fantasy world. Moreover, the author wanted to show how neologisms function in a  given text, what their function is and how they influence the authorial idiolect of the writer.

Русское кино в польском переводе – перевод с помощью субтитров Резюме Настоящая статья посвящена анализу перевода русской кинопродукции на польский язык. Объектом наших исследований является перевод на польский язык трех российских кинокартин: 9 рота, Сволочи и Бумер 2. В данных фильмах можем проследить и выделить способы компрессии, а также представить возможные техники перевода сленга, обращений, которые использует переводчик, так как фильмы, выбранные для работы, насыщены в большой степени арготизмами, сленгом и лексикой связанной с повседневной жизнью солдат. Ключевые слова: перевод кинопродукции, субтитры, эквивалентность, компрессия, культура исходного и переводящего языка   Russian Movies in Polish Translation – Dialogue Subtitles Abstract This text is a description of selected translation strategies applied in film translations with the use of dialogue subtitles. Collected research material was taken from Polish translations of Russian productions such as: Девятая рота: 2005, Сволочи: 2006, Бумер 2: 2006. Following elements of original dialogue line were subjected to the analysis: direct address, realities names occurring in dialogues, slang elements. Methods of transferring particular Russian text units were described within the context of compression. Автором исследуютсяспособы передачи данного типа лексики в польских переводах текстов анекдотов,которых можно найти примеры как советских, так и современных российских реа-лий. Настоящая статья посвящена вопросу происхождения сетевых имен в сфере киберспорта. Предпринимается попытка представить типологию никнеймов в зависимости от того, что входит в основу номинации (реальное имя, словосочетание, элементы просторечия, реалии самой игры, текущие события). Анализу подвергается около трехсот примеров, которые разделяются на несколько групп. The article focuses on the origin of e-sports names. An attempt is made to present a typology of nicknames depending on what is included in the basis of the nomination (real name, phrase, elements of vernacular, the realities of the game itself, current events). About three hundred examples, divided into several groups, were analysed.
