Samobójstwa dzieci i młodzieży jako choroba społeczna

Artykuł zawiera próbę zdefiniowania zjawiska oraz omówienie specyfiki samobójstw dzieci i młodzieży. Problem samobójstw wśród dzieci i młodzieży autorkę, jako psychopedagoga, interesuje szczególnie, co jest podkreślone w niniejszej pracy. Zapobieganie samobójstwom i programy zapobiegania – SUPRE, zapoczątkowane w 1999 roku przez WHO, są adresowane do następujących grup społecznych: pracowników służby zdrowia, nauczycieli i pedagogów, organizacji społecznych, rządów, legistratorów, osób zajmujących się zawodowo środkami przekazu, a także rodziców i społeczności. W artykule autorka wykorzystała również dane z interesujących badań studentki W. Jagustym, zawarte w jej pracy magisterskiej „Samobójstwa dzieci i młodzieży w okresie adole- scencji”. Rozmowa autorki z prof. zw. dr. hab. Brunonem Hołystem, która dotyczy aktualnych działań podejmowanych w naszym kraju przez Polskie Towarzystwo Suicydologiczne, powołane w 2002 roku, pozwala nakreślić również współczesny obraz profilaktyki w tym zakresie.

This article attempts to define the phenomenon of suicide among children and adolescents and likewise discuss its pecularities. As a psychological pedagogue the author of this paper shows a particular inter-est in the phenomenon of suicide among children and adolescents, as represented below. Suicide prevention and suicide prevention programmes-SUPRE- date back to 1999 and were iniktiated by the WHO. They address the following representatives of our society: health care workers, teachers and pedagogues, organizations of local administrations, legislators, professional adviors but include parents and the community as well. In this paper the author refers to the revealing data collected by the University student W.Jagusta and published in her magisterial thesis „Suicide among Children and Adoleascents“.
