Dwubiegunowa typologia społeczeństw Murraya Rothbarda

The article presents a bipolar typological system developed by the American economist Murray Rothbard. Focusing on describing two ideal types, it tries to introduce criteria in order to sort human communities according to indexing axis defined by contractual society on the one side and by hegemonic society on the other. The basis of the considerations is the Rothbardian notion of “violence” as the coercive type of human actions and the notion of “contract” as the voluntary type of actions. The text raises also the problem of positive and negative liberty as a key element of the typology presented by the American author. Furthermore it proposes possible uses of the discussed rating in social science.

Artykuł przedstawia dwubiegunowy system podziału społeczeństw zaproponowany przez amerykańskiego ekonomistę Murraya Rothbarda. Koncentrując się na opisie dwóch idealnych typów, autor stara się przybliżyć kryteria pozwalające uszeregować zbiorowości ludzkie według osi podziału wyznaczanej przez społeczeństwo kontraktowe z jednej strony i społeczeństwo hegemoniczne z drugiej. Podstawą rozważań jest Rothbardowskie pojęcie „przemocy” jako działań ludzkich mających charakter przymusowy oraz pojęcie „kontraktu”, będące fundamentem działań dobrowolnych. Tekst porusza także problematykę wolności pozytywnej i negatywnej w odniesieniu do działań państwa jako kluczowego elementu typologii zaproponowanej przez amerykańskiego badacza. Autor proponuje ponadto jego możliwe zastosowania w naukach społecznych.

The article refers to the social dimension of non-medical healthcare. It presents four theoretical perspectives (symbolic interactionism, phenomenology, ethnomethodology and praxeology) which can be used in the analysis of the problems of medical sociology. It specifically focuses on the causes of the unwavering popularity of healers and other unconventional therapists.

Artykuł odnosi się do społecznego wymiaru lecznictwa niemedycznego. Przedstawia cztery perspektywy teoretyczne (interakcjonizm symboliczny, fenomenologię, etnometodologię i prakseologię), które można wykorzystać w analizie problemów będących przedmiotem zainteresowania socjologii medycyny. W sposób szczególny skupia się na przyczynach niesłabnącej popularności uzdrowicieli oraz innych niekonwencjonalnych terapeutów.

The article presents the essence of the dispute over the ratification of the Convention on pre-venting and combating violence against women and domestic violence. The author describes the le-gal context and shows the ideological origins of issues, foundation of which is the gender ideology.
