The author presents a summary of the current Polish media research. He points to areas covered by sociological, historical and cultural studies, devoting particular attention to media anthropology research. The approach focusing on media anthropology allows him not only to answer the question about media texts as such and about their influence on the recipients — consumers of media messages; media anthropology also offers an opportunity to learn what the consumers do with media texts, how they utilize them, how and what for they use them. The text contains numerous theoretical examples of the existing research in this area.

W tym opracowaniu najpierw przedstawię kwestie związane z korzystaniem z Internetu przez osoby głuche, a w kolejnej części przywołam zasady zebrane w standardzie WCAG 2.0.

The accessibility of information contained on the websites of public institutions for the deaf and hard of hearing should be considered separately. In this paper, first the issues related to the use of the Internet by the deaf will be introduced, and the principles collected in the WCAG 2.0 standard will be mentioned in the next section.

10 years after the biggest enlargement of the European Union, the community is not free from problems. The decline in the share of industry in GDP of the Union and the plans to stop this decrease by the newly created reindustrialization policy belong to the most serious ones. Another important problem is the declining competitiveness of the European economy and insufficient technical and scientific progress. Also fiscal issues adversely affect the functioning of the EU economy and, in particular, the individual Member States.

"Ragazzi di vita" di Pier Paolo Pasolini nelle traduzioni inglesi e francesi – rivisitazioni moderne

This article contains a comparative analysis between original French and English translations of Pasolini’s Ragazzi di vita first published respectively in 1958 and 1968 and new versions both published in 2016. The analysis is based on several factors, such as choices between foreignization and domestication; the way in which translators dealt with multilingualism of the source text, which combines Italian, the Romanesco dialect and the Rome’s lowlife jargon; strategies regarding semantically loaded anthroponyms.

L’articolo contiene un’analisi comparativa tra originali traduzioni in francese e in inglese di Ragazzi di vita di Pier Paolo Pasolini pubblicate rispettivamente nel 1958 e 1968 e le nuove versioni pubblicate nel 2016. L’analisi e basata su diversi aspetti come le scelte tra l’esotizzazione e l’addomesticamento; il modo in cui i traduttori hanno affrontato il problema del plurilinguismo nel testo di partenza che collega l’italiano standard, il dialetto romano e il gergo della malavita romana; strategie che riguardano per esempio gli antroponimi caricati semanticamente.
