The aim of the paper is to apply the conceptual plane put forward together with the concept of “memory implants” to the phenomenon of emigration. Deployment of the topic category requires a reconceptualization which was done on the basis of the approaches of Marian Golka and Florian Znaniecki. As the author passes in chronological order from one stage of the research process to the next, he proposes a working definition of concepts and then uses the outlined conception in the description of a specific case: the museum exposition of the Emigration Museum in Gdynia. Conclusions that follow from the proposed analysis tend towards a content description of the migration narration of the museum, a capturing of the moments of implanting memory and illustration of how the implants operate. At the same time the analysis shows, at least potentially, the cultural factors that allow one to understand the mass character of the Polish experience of emigration. The article has the status of a qualitative exploration based on a neo-classical approach to the theory of Florian Znaniecki, including his concept of value and the humanistic coefficient as well as the interpretation of the topical concept of memory implant developed in the milieu of Poznań sociologists. The monographic material was collected during two visits to the Emigration Museum in September 2018.

In papal addresses published on the occasion of the International Day of Peace, one can find many inspiring thoughts concerning the problems of peace, forgiveness, and reconciliation. The thoughts of the popes Paul VI and John Paul II are interesting insofar as it is far from stereotypes. The addresses relate not only to the political, but also to the problems of everyday life. Peace is not a static reality but demands development. Reconciliation is not equivalent to rejection of justice and truth, but it is its fulfillment.

Wincenty Lutosławski created a quasi-religious concept of a nation whose members are connected by a bond reminiscent of mystical union. True nations, according to the philosopher, are created by God and their number is limited. It should be added that Lutosławski’s concept was created when Poland was erased from the world map for over 100 years. In order to strengthen the condition of the nation, Lutosławski called for the creation of the Blacksmith Order, whose aim was to be patriotic education. The concepts advocated by the philosopher (e.g., the doctrine of reincarnation) were far from the principles of Catholic orthodoxy.

The aim of this article is to evaluate critically possibilities of interpreting Lukasiewicz' logic by means of J.Słupecki s method presented in reference (1). In paragraph 1, we are giving a formal construction on which the method of partial interpretation £3 is based. Paragraph 2 contains initial assumptions through which prof. J. Słupecki obtains the partial interpretation £3 In paragraph 3, we prove that the way of obtaining this interpretation is really based on the construction from paragraph 1. Finally, in paragraph 4, we present our opinion on the interpretation £3. We prove that this interpretation cannot be obtained by means of the applied method.

This article focuses on two threads: identification and interpretation of the sources of urban social movements in Poland, and an attempt to diagnose the phenomenon. Ideological tensions are shown to be present within the various strands of urban activism, to a varying degree seeking identity in connection with the traditional “right to the city”. We also look for synergy, a peculiar “unity in diversity” arising out of the conditions of a modern Central European city. The final part of the text consists of a quantitative analysis and an attempt to characterize urban movements, using Poznań as an example. The data sources used were exit polls and data from the National Electoral Commission.

W artykule analizuje się pojęcie „proposition" (sądu w sensie logicznym) wprowadzone w pracy D. Vandervekena What is a Proposition, stosując metody algebraiczne. Analiza ta umożliwia głębsze zrozumienie tego pojęcia, prowadzi m.in. do uogólnienia pojęcia „mocnej implikacji" (§5), jej głównym rezultatem jest pewna reprezentacja pojęcia „proposition” (§ 6).
