The essay institutes a wide aspects concern about locality issue. Author has used Arjun Appadurai's theory and makes a trial to answer - What does really mean 'locality/local' on the world, in which spatial locality, the scope and scale of daily interaction communities do not always coincide with each other? The consequence of such trials is extremely relative process of concrete place, recognition of its liquidity and paradoxically - motility. Moreover, we can say that the submitted paradigm causes radical modification of thinking which is understanding in such a way: locality as the team factors which permanently separate 'here' from 'there'; these two categories are found in a continuous, permanently way from the new and the newly. It is possible that key which has introduced into the new locality formula which would be able to cope with some parts of these dilemmas at least, is way of consideration in terms of hospitality. Author argues with described way in the Moltz and Gibson's book, so far called 'Mobilizing hospitality: the ethics of social relations in a mobile Word'. Their trial constitutes mobility metaphors in the centre, which are thematically related and directed into the marginalization process of local dimension of human life. He also revels against considering of contemporary cultural phenomenon exclusively from perspective of mobility. Author stand on the side with host, not guest (arrival ). As he convinces, it is a very difficult and risk decision, especially if we look on contemporary reflection of anthropological and philosophical field research. Mainly a method should stay the same, but local aspect and field research becomes at least burdensome. In fact, no wonder that image of man-the-spot in the world has significant potential. As author assures the most significant changes appear in the way of establishment and consolidation these two dichotomies in which local aspect is loosing. He would like to prove that factors such as: mobility, globalization compel for reformulation of the local meaning, but not to complete elimination of the idea.

The Essay Crossed the Hospitality institute a wide aspect concern about issue - what we are really thinking about hospitality? or how people understanding the using process of this idea. The Author confirms, that hospitality constitutes the fundamental reflection, which shows issues concern of relations between cultural, political and ethical spheres. From the first volume he gave a main assumption, which try to give an answer - how people behave in space, which have to accept the Stranger? and also he has trying discover - if is it possible, when this space we called "ours" in exclusiveness way? So far, meditation has considered on the mainly aspect - which shows, that progressive discovering of hospitality in historical and modern contexts will try to give an answer for questions for example - which the hospitality was in the past? and which the hospitality is in the present time? and which hospitality will be in the future? The Author has convinced, that when people will try to answer these questions, they will be more conscious about their identity, also individual identity and society identity. Moreover, as the Author has marked - especially they will be more conscious about many ways, which can helps understanding the process of define the individual and society identity, and also in this way it will be possible to discover conditionings of our relation to the Strangers. The Author quotes work written by Jennie German Molz and Sarah Gibson called - Mobilizing hospitality: the ethics of social relations in a mobile world, who defined the hospitality as the phenomenon, which signals questions has known from time immemorial, but fundamental for scientific inquiry: How we should welcome the Stranger? or Where exactly should be a meeting? Which space this meeting create? and Who can play the role of the Host? and Who could be has known as the Guest? From the second volume, the Author shows, that research, which are considered about the Hospitality tried to visualize the way of understanding issues such like, ownership, membership, home, nation and state, which has influenced in the main frontiers. In fact Molz's and Gibson's work think, that is very important to make a move and consider aspects - how these categorized structures in verbal and metaphorical way will cause transgression and reconstruction of these frontiers. The Author confirms, that the only way for modern anthropological scientist have to make a conscious try, which can help in the violation process of frontiers.

The article fits into thinking about the fieldwork’s reality in its interactive nature, structured by, among others, the form of the cultural contact. Bringing together the knowledge collected in Bronisław Malinowski’s Dzieła and detailed information gathered in diaries, fieldwork notes and letters, allows to perform a reconstruction of an ideal pattern, approximate to real pattern, of the relation which was born between the anthropologist and the natives. The question is, how did the confrontation of multiple systems of praxis and beliefs affect the research and nature of anthropological knowledge? Beginning with the analysis of the meeting subject discourse present in modern anthropology, the author tires to investigate various aspects of Bronislaw Malinowski fieldwork. He attempts to construct an analysis which would pinpoint cultural and historical conditionings of the nature of relation between the anthropologist and “his people”.

Ostatecznie okazuje się, iż Don Kichot podróżuje, by aktywnie wpływać na otaczającą go rzeczywistość. Lévi-Strauss podróżuje, by cofnąć się w czasie. Rola etnografa usprawiedliwia to równie ekstrawaganckie przedsięwzięcie.

A starting point of this article is a trace which is a huge intellectual challenge for everybody that reads the French structuralist and wants to understand his creation. In an extended interview Conversations with Claude Lévi-Strauss, he reveals the key to his soul saying that his mind is led by Don Quixote. After such a clear declaration, the interpretative perspective of Tristes Tropique – where a knight-errant evolves into one of the fundamental figures – becomes obvious. Eventually, it turns out that Don Quixote travels in order to influence the surrounding reality actively. In his mind, the reflection of past overlays the presence and impels him to act, ignores the boundaries. Because of that he becomes a madman. Lévi-Strauss travels In order to move back In time. An etnographer role excuses this eccentric undertaking. Procedures imposed by science create the necessary distance but at the same time they become the source of non-fulfillment. The article attempts to answer a question whether Don Quixote – his thoughts and actions influence the things; whether they are a union of That What is analogical. If the answer was yes, what would be the great anthropologist’s dream, whose mind is controlled by a knight-errant?

Okazuje się, że jest w nią wpisana zarówno specyficzna logika listy leksykalnej, jak i diagramu drzewa ukorzenionego, a połączenie tych dwóch modeli prowadzi autora Systems of consanguinity and affinity of the human family do odkrycia „nowego narzędzia etnologii”.

This article refers to a process of development of basic research tools regarding kinship – a field of scientific reflection “discovered” by Lewis Henry Morgan. Author examines the continuity of conceptual instruments used to systematize knowledge in the area of studied anthropological discourse. He seeks out hidden instances which ensure order and consistency of said discourse even if some of provided axioms or the whole theory are refuted. The starting point of analysis is a table of kinship terminology listed by Morgan in one of footnotes to The League of the Ho-de-no-sau-nee or Iroquois. It appears that, written in it, are both specific logic of lexical lists, as well as a diagram of rooted tree. Merging those two models led the author of Systems of consanguinity and affinity of the human family to discovery of a “new instrument in ethnology”.

The article deals with the impact of temporary educational exhibitions in Polish national museums on the nature of the knowledge they produce, protect and disseminate. Analysed data were collected during a year-long, qualitative research study with the use of such tools as in-depth interviews, focus groups, research walks and desk analysis of documentation produced during the creation of the Power of the Museum exhibition at the National Museum in Krakow. The primary research question is how the museum’s ecology of knowledge (Rahder, 2020) reacts when the decision-making order is transformed and a new type of meta-exhibition is built. The article aims to describe the mechanisms that stabilize museum knowledge traditions when the environment in which they operate is changed internally and externally.
