Celem artykułu jest analiza poziomu rozwoju ekonomicznego oraz dynamiki przemian miast regionu wschodniego w latach 1995–2015. Przedmiotem badań uczyniono 54 miasta regionu. Źródłem danych do przeprowadzonej analizy był Bank Danych Lokalnych Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego. Do badania użyto analizy taksonomicznej, metody bez wzorca. Przeanalizowano 10 zmiennych w badanym okresie. Podzielono je na zmienne dotyczące budżetów gmin, podmiotów gospodarki narodowej i rynku pracy. W wyniku przeprowadzonej analizy stwierdzono, że w przypadku 50 miast odnotowujemy ich rozwój w badanym okresie. Zaobserwowano, że zróżnicowanie poziomu rozwoju ekonomicznego miast regionu wschodniego w układzie przestrzennym nie zmniejsza się. Stwierdzono również, że akcesja Polski do Unii Europejskiej miała wpływ na wzrost indeksów dynamiki przemian badanych miast.

The aim of the paper is to analyze the level of economic development and its dynamics in the cities and towns in the eastern region between 1995 and 2015. The objects of the study were 54 cities and towns of the region. The source of the data for the analysis was the Local Data Bank of the Central Statistical Office. Taxonomic analysis, no-pattern method was used for the study. Ten variables were analyzed during the studied period. They were divided into those referring to budgets of municipalities/communes, national economy entities, and the labor market. As a result of the analysis, it was discovered that 50 cities and towns showed signs of development in the period. It was observed that the diversification of the level of economic development of cities and towns of the eastern region in the spatial layout did not decrease. It was also stated that the accession of Poland to the European Union had an impact on the growth of dynamics indexes of changes for the towns and cities.

The paper presents the issues the public sector demand for rail freight services in Poland. Tenders have been characterized in terms of: the type of load, the size of the re-quests in the volume of transport work and the results of tender procedures. The article contains an analysis of the share of the transport volume purchased in auctions. As a result, it was found that it may play important role in shaping the behavior of market actors on highly concentrated freight transport market.

The aim of the article is to analyze the level of socio-economic development of the communes of the Lubelskie Voivodeship in the years 1995–2021. The subject of the study involved 213 communes of the Lubelskie Voivodeship. The source of data for the conducted analysis was the Local Data Bank of the Central Statistical Office. Taxonomic analysis, method without pattern was used for the research. 19 different variables were examined in the analyzed period. They were divided into variables concerning development: economic (7 variables), social (8 variables) and technical (4 variables). It has been proven in the article that the level of development of the Lubelskie Voivodeship communes in the analyzed period of 1995–2021 increased. Decrease in this development could only be observed in the case of 12 communes. The development processes of communes lead to equalization of their development levels due to the adopted features in the spatial arrangement at a higher level. Poland’s accession to the European Union changed tendencies in terms of the size of dynamicsof communes due to the adopted features. After joining the European Union, the average annual growth rate decreased. The COVID-19 pandemic has not changed the trends in the size of the dynamics of cities and towns due to the adopted features. Communes with a similar index of dynamics of the level of development are located in the same territorial systems due to the adopted features. Communes displaying a similar level of development, due to the adopted features, are located in the same territorial systems. The size of the cities and towns shows a relationship with the index of the dynamics of the level of development due to the adopted features. There is a negative correlation between the dynamics index in 1995–2003, 2019–2021 and 1995–2021 and the size of the commune, which means that the smaller the commune, the higher the change dynamics index. The size of cities and towns shows a relationship with the level of urban development due to the adopted features. The analysis of the size of the commune measured by the number of population and the level of socio-economic development in the presented years: 1995, 2003, 2019 and 2021 are significantly correlated showing positive values according to statistics.

Celem artykułu jest analiza poziomu rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczego gmin województwa lubelskiego w latach 1995–2021. Przedmiotem badań uczyniono 213 gmin województwa. Źródłem danych do przeprowadzonej analizy był Bank Danych Lokalnych Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego. Do badania użyto analizy taksonomicznej, metody bez wzorca. Przeanalizowano 19 zmiennych w badanym okresie. Podzielono je na zmienne dotyczące rozwoju: ekonomicznego (7 zmiennych), społecznego (8 zmiennych) i technicznego (4 zmienne). W wyniku przeprowadzonej analizy stwierdzono wzrost poziomu rozwoju w badanym okresie. Zaobserwowano, że zróżnicowanie poziomu rozwoju gmin w układzie przestrzennym zmniejsza się. Stwierdzono również, że z uwagi na przyjęte cechy akcesja Polski do Unii Europejskiej miała wpływ na spadek indeksów dynamiki przemian w badanych gminach.

The analysis clearly indicates that employers in Włodawa County function in conditions far less favourable to other transactors in the country. Detrimental conditions of local employers are compounded by the fact that they do not have full knowledge about the possibility of cooperation with the Local Labour Office in Włodawa as far as dimension of potential economic benefits is considered. However, if we take into account all given answers to the questions in the questionnaire as an outline to obtain empirical material on which the presented analysis is based, it appears that employers are not able to clearly and accurately identify their real expectations for cooperation with the Local Labour Office in Włodawa. Employers expect active and individualized forms of support, including usage of electronic communication channels rather than the dominant stationary (from behind a desk) form of service. In conclusion, it appears that a key factor that restrains collaboration between the employment office and local employers is a general ignorance of the possible levels of cooperation and potential economic benefits that arise from them. Consequently, more effort of the employment office is needed in order to bring employers possibility to cooperate with the office in order to achieve mutual economic and social benefits.

The polish regional strategies present a problem of transport development in the regions. Although plans for transport systems in most provinces are not treated as a priority, it can positively assess of their visibility. The strategies differ in the complexity of the approach to the transport system (defined as a set of subsystems).They contain incentives to concentrate on improving transport accessibility, although at the risk of neglecting the improvement of the competitiveness of transport and the sustainability of its development. A characteristic is also the focus of attention on the development of road and air infrastructure.
