Improvement of organization of work competition calls for a proper selection of indices evaluating the work of individual employees as well as bigger working teams. It is equally important to be able to compare them all the more so as these indices depending on the aggregation degree encompass not only labour in put of workers employed directly in production (e. g. individual productivity on a given work post) but also of auxiliary and other employees, who, to a varying degree, contribute to final effects obtained by the entire production unit. To assess properly work methods and its effets the author proposes application of the so-called integrating indices. At present they are applied in the textile industry but they do not encompass auxiliary manpower. In the author's opinion it is necessary to construct indices defining labour in put of this category of employees as well so that they can be included in work competition. This would undoubtedly contribute to their higher professional activity.
