Formation of common European energy market implies the necessity of making adjustments to domestic low and adopt market development possibilities in order to meet European Union regulations. Implementation of system support to develop high-efficiency cogeneration was one of those aspects. Several years of functioning such mechanism allow to: analyze those regulations and their impact on sub-sector development, make a deep cost analysis and discuss about its efficiency. This paper describes the background of implementation of EU regulations, results of efficiency analysis and comparison with the functioning mechanism in the Flemish Region.

Investment processes realized by energy companies are usually very complex and require the involvement of various partners and organizations. Within this particular context, the relations between these partners seem to be worth analyzing focusing on simultaneous cooperation and competition which is called coopetition. The authors identify and analyze coopetitive relations from the viewpoint of the first polish nuclear power plant project.
