W grudniu 2017 r. Sejm uchwalił ustawę o zmianie niektórych ustaw w celu zwięk- szenia udziału obywateli w procesie wybierania, funkcjonowania i kontrolowania niektórych organów publicznych. Ustawa ta wprowadziła doniosłe zmiany w Kodek- sie wyborczym, dotyczące między innymi struktury organów wyborczych, ich kom- petencji, jak też zasad i sposobu głosowania przez wyborców. W artykule przedsta- wione zostały najważniejsze problemy związane z implementowaniem nowych reguł samorządowego prawa wyborczego w kontekście nadchodzących wyborów do jed- nostek samorządu terytorialnego.

In December 2017, the Sejm adopted the Act on amending certain acts in order to in- crease the participation of citizens in the process of selecting, operating and controlling certain public bodies. The Act introduced significant changes to the Electoral Code, in- cluding, inter alia, the structures of electoral bodies, their competences, as well as the rules and manner of voting by voters. The article presents the most important problems related to the implementation of new rules of local government electoral law in the con- text of the upcoming elections to local government units.
