Artykuł przedstawia problem kompetencji społecznych wychowanków placówek opiekuńczo-wychowawczych. Autorka przedstawiła analizę danych z pracy doktorskiej dotyczącą zaspakajania potrzeb wychowanków domów dziecka oraz założeń programowych placówki w kontekście poziomu kompetencji społecznych badanych wychowanków. Badanymi respondentami byli podopieczni w normie intelektualnej, jak i niepełnosprawni intelektualnie w stopniu lekkim.

The article presents subject areas of social competence demonstrated by pupils of educational care facilities. The author presents the data analysis from the doctoral dissertation devoted to satisfying the needs of the pupils of the educational care facilities and programme assumptions of the facility relating to the level of social competence of the respondent pupils. The respondents were the pupils in normal intellectual capacity as well as the individuals with mild mental retardation.

The article presents the an assessment of the educational reality of people with profound intellectual disabilities in the opinion of employees of the Education and Rehabilitation Center. The objective of the article is a preliminary knowledge of the educational reality of people with profound intellectual disabilities, in order to conduct further in-depth analyzes of the discussed issue.
