The text deals with the issue of work on Holocaust literature with secondary school students. The author shows the typical way of analysis and interpretation of such literature, the way that has been methodologically strengthened for years and has been emphasizing the tragedy of concentration camp prisoners. The author also proposes that the approach that might be called „learning about the Holocaust” be changed into „lessons from the Holocaust”. It signifies universalisation of the issue and the possibility to use it to create ethical values among contemporary youth.
