The pursuit of enterprises to achieve economic success in the global market, advanced technologies and innovative methods of management in every area of business, set new directions for the development of service activities of the customs authorities. The aim of this paper is to present the benefits of the implementation of the innovative business services by the Customs Service. Analysis of the reasons of implementation of the modern forms of customs services and characteristics of individual solutions allow to conclude that the flexibility of customs clearance is a source of significant commercial and financial benefits for operators on the international market, and, thereby, an important determinant of the growth of their competitiveness. Moreover, the simplified system of the customs clearances increases the efficiency of the billing and collection of customs duties, thus ensuring regular revenue for the state budget. In this paper, following research methods were used: a descriptive method, an analysis of literature, and statistical inference.

Priorytetem dla administracji celnych jest bezpieczeństwo międzynarodowych łańcuchów dostaw przy jednoczesnym zachowaniu systemu uproszczeń i ułatwień w obsługi celnej ładunków. Rozwój transgranicznego handlu internetowego i nowoczesnych modeli logistycznych przekłada się na formułowanie coraz większych oczekiwań wobec administracji celnej oraz konieczność wypracowania nowego schematu obsługi celnej. Celem artykułu jest wskazanie na skutki rozwoju handlu internetowego. W artykule przeprzowadzono analizę przyjętych na forum światowym wytycznych dla obsługi celnej e-commerce oraz przyjętych rozwiązań w zakresie: uproszczeń w handlu, bezpieczeństwa, naliczania i poboru należności celnych oraz opracowywania statystyki. W artykule zastosowano: analizę literatury naukowej i dokumentów urzędowych, wtórną analizę statystyczna i syntezę informacji.

The priority for customs administrations is to ensure the safety and security of international supply chains while introducing a simplification and facilitation system for customs services. The development of cross-border e-commerce leads to increasingly high expectations formulated for customs administrations. The goal of this article is to point out the effects of e-commerce development, the analysis of e-commerce customs guidelines and the evaluation of customs solutions, including: trade facilitation and simplification, safety and security, revenue collection, measurement and analysis. The following research methods were used: analysis of scientific literature and official documents, secondary statistical analysis and synthesis of information.

Celem artykułu jest analiza ekonomicznych konsekwencji Brexitu, zarówno dla gospodarki Wielkiej Brytanii, jak również krajów członkowskich UE, w tym dla Polski. W pierwszej części artykułu omówione zostały główne wskaźniki gospodarcze oraz determinanty wzrostu gospodarczego Wielkiej Brytanii, w tym specyfika polityki handlowej oraz uwarunkowania handlu zagranicznego, a także odniesiono się do przyczyn Brexitu. W drugiej części artykułu podjęta została dyskusja na temat ewentualnych skutków Brexitu dla gospodarki Wielkiej Brytanii oraz dla Londynu jako światowego centrum finansowego. Ostatnią część opracowania stanowi analiza potencjalnych dla polskiej gospodarki, w tym również Polaków zamieszkujących w Zjednoczonym Królestwie, skutków wyjścia Wielkiej Brytanii z UE.

The aim of this article is to analyze the economic consequences of the Brexit, both for the UK economy and for EU member states, including Poland. The first part of the article is focused on the main economic indicators and determinants of UK economic growth, as well as the specificity of economic policy, foreign trade conditions, and the main reasons for the Brexit. The second part of the paper discusses the possible effects of the Brexit for the UK economy and for London as a global financial center. The last part of the study contains an analysis of potential consequences of the exit of Great Britain from the EU for the Polish economy, including Poles living in the United Kingdom.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie zmieniającej się roli państwa w życiu gospodarczym w warunkach postępującej globalizacji. Zarysowane zostały funkcje ekonomiczne państwa w świetle znaczących teorii ekonomicznych, a także przedstawiono wpływ państwa na wybuch globalnego kryzysu finansowego i gospodarczego oraz na jego przezwyciężenie. Nakreślono też perspektywiczną rolę państwa w gospodarce narodowej i międzynarodowych stosunkach gospodarczych. W opracowaniu podjęto próbę uzasadnienia tezy, że siły rynkowe wymagają przeciwwagi w postaci sprawnie funkcjonującego państwa.

The main goal of the article is to present the changing role of the state in economic life in the conditions of increasing globalization. The authors have outlined the economic functions of the state in the context of significant economic theories. In addition, the influence of the state on the outbreak of the global financial and economic crisis and its overcoming was presented. The perspective role of the state in the national economy and international economic relations was also outlined. The study attempts to justify the thesis that market forces require the counterweight in the form of an efficiently functioning state.
