The Church’s teaching on marriage, especially on its indissolubility, is highly contested even by many Catholics themselves. The indissolubility is frequently considered without connection to the biblical anthropology. The subject of the study are Jesus’ statements on this issue examined in their immediate context of the Gospel narration and in their relationship to the first chapters of the Bible. God brings to perfection His work with the creation of man and woman in His own image and likeness because in marriage they should transmit His blessing to their children and to the earth subdued to them. The last part of the paper considers the meanings of the Greek word porneia in Jesus’ teaching according to Matthew.

The study concerns the first mentions of the righteous kingdom and the love of justice in the Letter to the Hebrews. The meaning of the analyzed terms is built by their author on the comparison between Son’s immutability and His superiority to the nature and position of angels (1:8-9). Son’s love of justice is not limited to His passion and death, but is manifested through everything that preceded His anointing as the King of justice. This manifestation makes Him the example of the justice that the Christian are called to exhibit in their lives.

Jesus’ answer to the question of the disciples about the hierarchy in the kingdom of heaven concerns the issue of fundamental importance for the understanding of their relationship to God. The Lord asserts that the issue more important than hierarchy is the condition for entering this kingdom. The attitude of little children towards their father and their dependence on him should be imitated by the disciples. They are encouraged to have trust in God, their Father, and to experience His paternal love. This way they can also build the proper relationship with their neighbors.
