The topic of this article is network analysis, shown as an activating method used in education. Due to a growing interest in social networking sites and an increased importance of cooperation, it is necessary to improve students’ skills in the field of methods provided by Social Network Analysis (SNA). The potential of social networks can be used, for example to develop contacts, share ideas and as a communication tool. The aim of this paper is to present how students can study “network effects” − the value generated by network structures. This issue will be clarified on the example of Metcalfe’s law, selected measures of the SNA method and others. The exercise presented in the article is an excellent base for conducting in-depth research using the SNA method, which in turn allows to identify barriers to the flow of knowledge, discover invisible structures and relationships, analyse the collected data quantitatively and qualitatively. The article will indicate directions of using the analysis of social networks in research works at universities

Cloud computing creates a new opportunities for the development of virtual education. The goal of the paper is to analyze organizational, economic and legal aspects of cloud computing in the context of needs of virtual education. In addition, the article presents the identification and characteristic of these areas of virtual education, where the best way is to apply cloud computing technology, for instance teaching and distance learning, publishing, collaboration and social interaction (e.g. creation of documentation, presentation or communication). The paper presented examples of applications available in the cloud computing.

Cloud computing stwarza nowe możliwości dla rozwoju wirtualnej edukacji. Celem artykułu jest analiza aspektów organizacyjnych, ekonomicznych i prawnych cloud computing w kontekście potrzeb edukacji wirtualnej. Ponadto artykuł przedstawia identyfikację i charakterystykę tych obszarów edukacji, gdzie najlepiej jest zastosować technologię cloud computing, na przykład nauczania i uczenia się na odległość, działalności wydawniczej, współpracy i interakcji społecznych (np. tworzenia dokumentacji, prezentacji lub komunikacji). W artykule przedstawiono także przykłady aplikacji dostępnych w chmurze.

W artykule przedstawiono przykład wykorzystania prosumpcji w rozwijaniu konsumenckiej innowacyjności. Prosument (student) został włączony w procesy innowacyjne polegające na przedstawieniu sposobów udoskonalenia gry komputerowej udostępnionej jako jedna z metod aktywizujących wykładu e-learningowego. Artykuł zawiera podsumowanie wyników badań prowadzonych od 2005 roku. Łącznie za pośrednictwem platformy econet zebrano 43 komentarze. Podczas wykładów zgromadzono wiedzę studentów zainteresowanych problematyką rozwoju dotychczasowej gry lub stworzenia jej nowej wersji. Podsumowując, można stwierdzić, że istnieje możliwość kreowania za pośrednictwem e-learningu konsumenckiej innowacyjności. Prosumpcja jest szansą na kreowanie innowacyjnych pomysłów. Stwarza szansę powodzenia innowacji (w przedstawionym eksperymencie powstania nowej lub poprawionej wersji gry) dzięki lepszemu dopasowaniu produktów do oczekiwań konsumentów. Sprzyja również tzw. współtworzeniu, ponadto wzrostowi znaczenia już nie eksperta, a człowieka odkrywcy.

Celem artykułu jest analiza możliwości wykorzystania podejścia kontek-stowego w rozwoju zintegrowanych systemów informatycznych, które są zazwyczaj po-strzegane z perspektywy obsługiwanych przez nie modułów, ale praca z nimi wymaga zastosowania podejścia procesowego. Uzupełnienie procesu o kontekst przeznaczony dla pracownika na danym stanowisku sprzyja zwiększeniu efektywności jego pracy. Użyt-kownik rozumie jak przebiega proces i jaki ma wpływ praca, którą wykonuje, na inne obszary w firmie. Podejście kontekstowe pozwala dostrzec korzyści, jakich dostarczają sprawnie przebiegające procesy. Kontekstowe spojrzenie na zintegrowany system in-formatyczny i eksploracja procesów ze względu na różne konteksty sprzyja wzrostowi efektywności wykorzystania zasobów firmy. Odkrywa wzorce dla integracji zasobów wiedzy w organizacji.

The aim of this article is to analyse the possibilities of using the contextual approach in the development of Integrated Management Information Systems (IMIS). IMIS are usually seen from the perspective of their modules, but working with them requires to use the process approach. Supplementing the process connected with a con-text of the employee contributes in increasing of the effectiveness of work. A user of IMIS understands how the process continues and how his work which he performs, has an influence on other areas of the company. Contextual approach allows to notice the benefits provided by smoothly running processes. Contextual approach allows look at the integrated system and exploration of process due to the different contexts conducive to the growth of efficiency in the use of company resources. It explores patterns for the integration of knowledge in the organization.

Tematem artykułu są wykłady MOOCs, czyli masowe, otwarte i udostępniane przez Internet wykłady oraz ich rola w kształtowaniu postaw przedsiębiorczych wśród osób, zainteresowanych tzw. samokształceniem. Celem badań była ocena stanu wiedzy, zaangażowania i oczekiwań studentów odnośnie do wykładów MOOCs. Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań ankietowych odnośnie do MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). Badania przeprowadzono na grupie studentów. Dla określenia dostępności kursów MOOCs zbadano m.in. możliwości wykorzystania urządzeń mobilnych przez studentów. Wśród problemów badawczych znalazła się analiza kursów MOOCs w aspekcie ich treści. Analizę przeprowadzono na przykładzie przedmiotów Technologie Informacyjne, Przedsiębiorczość i Zarządzanie projektem, których materiały były dostępne jako MOOCs w Internecie. Wnioski płynące z badań skonfrontowano z rozważaniami teoretycznymi w tym zakresie i przedstawiono w formie implikacji na potrzeby prac związanych z rozszerzeniem oferty dydaktycznej uczelni w Polsce o masowe, otwarte, dostępne online i darmowe szkolenia. Badania potwierdziły, że zdobywanie wiedzy z wykorzystaniem MOOCs w Polsce stanowi jeszcze niszę rynkową. Jeżeli więcej studentów zacznie angażować się w tego typu kursy to uczelnie w Polsce będą musiały wypracować modele kształcenia z udziałem MOOCs.

The purpose of this article is to present the results of research on the directions of the development of integrated management information systems. The authors took especially into account the functionality of systems and technology solutions. The survey was sent to the leading MRPII/ERP producers on the Polish market. Findings allowed to identify future trends in the development of MRPII/ERP systems for the years 2013-2015: Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, access to the system through a web browser, management dashboards, Cloud Computing and virtualization of data, mobile technology and tools for business processes modeling in ERP systems.
