The issue of the Church’s mission has accompanied the ecumenical movement from the beginning, both in its practical as well as doctrinal dimension. On the theological level it is inseparably connected to the question of the nature of the Church—the fulfilment of the mission means being fully in accordance with one’s own nature. In the discussed document of the Faith and Order Commission, the term used for both nature and mission of the Church is koinonia: the Church is and is yet to be materialized by koinonia— not only in the community of the believers, but also in the whole of creation, in order “to bring all things together under one head” (Eph 1,10). The mission is therefore expressible in various aspects of koinonia: it is a gift from God (the source of the Trinitarian mission, the proclamation of the Gospel, the eschatological realisation) and the concrete reality with its formal determinants (the Apostolic faith, baptism, Eucharist and ministry). The document The nature and the Mission of the Church is a synthesis of what the churches can say together in this subject and as well as of areas requiring further dialogue, or a change of attitudes.

The child during its first years of life operates with three-dimensional items from real world. There is a moment in the educational process when its activity takes place in the dimension of the plain. Functioning at the plain requires understanding the concepts and manipulating specific properties (features) of geometric terms. Supporting the child in this area requires from the teacher to many activities that will produce in a child's mind more and wider understanding of concepts such as line, triangle or cube. Child creativity present in education brings joy of creating, positive emotions, natural ability of testing, experimenting, drawing conclusions and comparing. Creative mathematical activity? What opportunities and benefits does it bring? What is it necessary in the development of geometric concepts and skills?

Jakie daje możliwości i korzyści?
Wypełnienie tych kryteriów przez nauczyciela daje mu możliwość twórczego działania w procesie budowania w umyśle dziecka prawidłowych pojęć i umiejętności geometrycznych. Ponadto wiedza odnośnie tych dwóch wymienionych czynników determinuje możliwe sposoby, drogi wybierane prze z nauczyciela do kształtowania pojęć i umiejętności matematycznych.

Taking students in the world of geometric concepts is not an easy task for a teacher. It requires preparation in both these areas: mathematical and psychological. In this process essential factors are: deep knowledge of a teacher about geometric concepts and skills as well as awareness of sequence of levels of geometric thinking. Once the teacher meets these two requirements, he or she is able to create correct abstract geometric concepts and skills in a child's mind. What is more, knowledge about these factors allows the teacher to choose possible ways that lead to the development of mathematical concepts and skills. A teacher can use creativity of children for gaining knowledge about the world around them and building appropriate learning situations. A creative approach of a teacher cannot rely only on intuition. Instead, it should be based on knowledge, skills, previous experience, observation of children and deep reflection.
This article deals with the interpretation of the Church as communion as presented in the document The Church: Towards a Common Vision, of the “Faith and Order” Commission. After a short presentation of the stages of the Commission’s work that contributed to the emergence of the ecclesiological category of communion, the meaning of this category in the document is described. This begins with the definition of the Church as communion. This definition indicates three interrelated dimensions of ecclesial communion: with the Triune God, in the life of the community of believers and in its mission. Subsequently the most important aspects of these three dimensions are described from an ecumenical perspective. The Church is a mysterious reality of the saving communion between man and the Triune God. Therefore, in the life of the Church it means to move towards eschatological fullness, by growing in essential elements of visible communion: faith, sacramental life, ministry and mission in the world. The mission of the Church is interpreted as introducing communion in a world that is marked by divisions and brokenness because of sin. Primarily, it consists of inviting all people to accept the salvation in Jesus Christ, followed then by its commitment to the social and moral struggles of all humanity and to promotion of the unity of creation. Throughout, important ecumenical issues are considered as a whole with their possible interpretation in the perspective of communion.

Artykuł dotyczy komunijnej interpretacji Kościoła przedstawionej w dokumencie Komisji „Wiara i Ustrój” The Church: Towards a Common Vision.
The article presents Lisbon Strategy premises and goals for employment on UE territory, focusing especially on directives concerning EU employment rates (total, women’s and older workers employment rates). The analysis indicates that, compared with other EU countries, the situation in Poland in 2004–2009 was not an auspicious one for women, men or older workers (aged 55–64). The gap between projections for 2010 – 50% employment for older workers, works out for Poland to 18 percentage points; for women the figure breaks down to 7 percentage points while for men it is about 10 percentage points. A similar situation can be observed in Hungary and Italy. The analysis shows that changes in both the employment and unemployment rates in 2004–2009 in Poland, like those in the EU’s new member states, should be seen as positive.
The paper presents assumptions and targets formulated in the Lisbon Strategy for employment on UE territory. It focuses on directives concerning EU employment rates (total, women’s and older workers’ employment rates). The analysis indicates that the situation in Poland in 2008–2009, compared with EU countries, was not a favourable one. It also considers the employment rates of women, men and older workers (aged 55–64). The gap between projections for 2010 – a 50% rate of older workers rates and the Polish respective figure amounts to 18 percentage points, the gap for the women’s rate was 7.6 percentage points, and the gap for the men’s rate was 10.8 percentage points. A similar situation was observed in Hungary and Italy. Only Malta saw a higher distance between these indicators. The analysis shows that changes in employment and unemployment rates from 2004 to 2009 in Poland, like those in other new EU members, should be considered positive.
The paper presents developments in Poland and Ukraine in the years 1991–2009, focusing on the similarities and differences in the macroeconomic environment of the two countries. A pentagon of macroeconomic stabilisation is a basis for presenting the differences in the basic macroeconomic indicators in the two countries, while the “golden rule of economic growth” verifies the overall effectiveness of the two economies. The paper also presents projections for an increase in GDP in Poland and Ukraine in the context of the co-organisation of EURO 2012. The results of the analysis indicate different GDP growth rates in the two countries despite the similarities in their phases of economic development. The period of recession in Poland was exceptionally short, enabling the country to resume accelerated economic growth. Ukraine, despite a more drawn out transformation recession, has managed to catch up with Poland and other post-Communist countries that have become members of the EU. Economic growth projections for Poland and Ukraine until 2015 are 4.5%–5.5%, and 5.5%–6%, respectively, which might be attributed to the integration of the two countries with the European economy and the implementation of permanent economic growth policies.
