The article shortly presents the nongovernmental organizations focusing on transport area and acting in the United Kingdom. There were identified 182 organizations of such kind in that country; there were specified such notions, as their structure, acting range, main targets, as well as the forms of coordination with authorities and with each other. The second part of the article consists of several examples of the NGOs that deal with the most typically found range of activities as well as of those which deal with the least common ones.

Since the time the investments in infrastructure are realized in Poland within the common transport policy, the changes in this area of Polish economy have been profound. The TEN-T program defines the investments, determining priorities among chosen roads and routes. nonetheless, the changes within transport infrastructure do not leave other economy branches unchanged. On the contrary, they boost the development of the areas they are implemented. The hereby article tries to define and to present the type and the dimension of changes created under the influence of the changing transport conditions in Poland .

The article shortly presents the idea of developing the corridors that belong to the TEN-T program that cross Poland, together with the opinion of the Economic- Social Commission concerning its state of the realization. It compares this with the belief of Polish government, initiated by Polish MP and stated in the document it approved. Both these opinions have been faced with the actual realization state of the projects believed to be crucial.
