This paper examines selected publications of Czechoslovak authors working in exile who described and reflected on the events of the Munich crisis of 1938. It analyses the difficulties that accompanied the publishing of such works. Using Munich: Before and After by Hubert Ripka as an example, it illustrates the escalation of these difficulties to the political level in the context of the Czechoslovak government in exile and beyond.
