The article presents the results of research carried out in 20 German, Nordic, French and Spanish companies operating in Poland concerning staffing managers. In particular, the recruitment, selection and placement methods and techniques for managerial positions are described. The authoress stresses the cultural context of managers' staffing to international enterprises.

This article presents survey results involving the manager recruitment practices of international companies operating in Poland. Assuming a triad model, the article depicts manager recruitment forms, selection techniques, and placement methods of companies from the Asian, American, and European cultural sphere. The authoress also presents the role of cultural factors in staffing key positions in the surveyed companies.
