The current needs justify the intervention of the law-making body aiming at the extension of the catalogue of acts in law carried out on the occasion of death. This may be achieved by (among other things) providing the possibility of making deeds of donation on the occasion of death. The introduction into the Polish law of a deed of donation on the occasion of death is laid down in the Senate's draft bill changing the act on the civil code and some other acts (the Diet document no. 2116). The following issues were discussed: the subject master of the deed, its effectiveness, the possibility of stipulating a condition and the right to withdraw from the contract, its legal status in the period from the making out of the deed until the donor's death, the expiry of the deed as well as some issues within the law of succession. In the summary, the donation mortis causa was juxtaposed with the legacy per vindicationem.
