In the last couple of years, educational establishments in many countries, including Russia, USA, Great Britain and Israel, have been subjected to terrorist attacks. The tragedies which took place have proven the fact that the problem of ensuring safety in educational establishments has still remained topical. In order to solve the problem of ensuring safety in schools of all levels of education, it is necessary to prepare a complex approach towards creating a system of preventing and fighting against existing and potential threats. Before starting to design the security system for educational establishments, it is essential to leave out all stereotypes regarding its configuration, aims and problems it is meant to solve, as well as regarding the technology, methods and methodology of preventing and fighting against threats. The safety of educational establishments should be considered in relation to their social and economic influence and their importance for the society. The authors of this paper present an exemplary model of a security system in an educational establishment.

W ostatnim czasie placówki oświatowe w różnych krajach, w tym w Rosji, Stanach Zjednoczonych, Wielkiej Brytanii, Izraelu wielokrotnie stały się obiektem ataków terrorystycznych. Tragedie, które miały miejsce, świadczą o tym, że problem zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa placówkom oświatowym nadal pozostaje aktualny. Dla rozwiązania problemu zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa w szkołach należy opracować kompleksowe podejście w celu stworzenia systemu zapobiegania i przeciwdziałania rzeczywistym i potencjalnym niebezpieczeństwom. Przed rozpoczęciem projektowania systemu bezpieczeństwa placówek oświatowych należy odrzucić wszelkie stereotypy dotyczące jego konﬁ guracji, celów i problemów, które ma on rozwiązać, a także technologii, metod i metodyki zapobiegania i przeciwdziałania niebezpieczeństwom. Bezpieczeństwo szkół należy rozpatrywać z pozycji ich społecznej i ekonomicznej działalności, znaczenia dla społeczeństwa. Autorzy artykułu przedstawiają przykład modelu systemu bezpieczeństwa w placówce oświatowej.
