Marta Buczek, autorka článku zaoberá sa problémom stereotypov v knihe slovenského spisovateľa Dušana Taragela pod titulom "Rozprávky pre neposlušné deti a ich starostlivých rodičov" publikovanej v roku 1997. Článok sa zameriava na pôvodný text a jeho poľský preklad uverejnený v roku 2005, ktorého autorom je Tomasz Grabiński. Zbierka rozprávok Dušana Taragela je zaujímavý príklad použitia stereotypov v literatúre. Autor používa dobre známe stereotypy a núti ich k plneniu úloh v rozpore s ich základnou sémantikou, čo vedie k transformácii jednotlivých zložiek stereotypov a zahŕňa nové atypické štrukturálne vzťahy. Rozprávky Taragela uskutočňujú špecifickú hru so stereotypami pomocou žánru grotesky. Zaujímavé je ako sú tieto translatologické problémy riešené v preklade. Autorka článku sa snaží odpovedať na otázku, čí stereotypy sú prekladateľné do iných jazykov, čí sú prekladateľné v akte kultúrnej komunikácie.

The author of the article raises the problem of stereotypes in the Slovak collection of short stories book under the title "Fairy Tales for Naughty Children and Their Caring Parents" (1997) written by Dušan Taragel. The article focuses on the original text and its Polish translation by Tomasz Grabiński published in 2005. Dušan Taragel‘s short stories are an interesting example of using stereotypes in literature. He uses and forces well known sterotypes to perform tasks inconsistent with their basic semantics which leads to a transformation of the individual components of the stereotype and includes the new atypical structural relationships. Taragel’s short stories undertake a peculiar play with stereotypes using of the genre of the grotesque. An interesting matter is how the Polish translation deals with this and is carried out at all levels play. The article tries to answer the question if stereotypes may be translatable into the second language when the code changes, if they can be translatable in an act of cultural communication.

Príspevok predstavuje problém kultúrnych bariér v slovenskom preklade románu Ferdydurke Witolda Gombrowicza, ktorý bol publikovaný v novom prijímacom horizonte v roku 2004. Roman bol preložený dobré známym slovenským prekladateľom Jozefom Marušiakom. Autorka článku popisuje prekladateľské stratégie, ktoré boli využité prekladateľom, aby prekonať kultúrnu bariéru a rekonštruovať cudzie mentálne mechanizmy vpísané v cudziu kultúru. Používané v procese reinterpretácie významov originálu stratégie sú: stratégia doslovnosti, ktorá sa spája so stratégiou neutralizácie cudzích kultúrnych faktorov. Otázkou sa stáva, čí je možne preložiť komplikovanú prózu Witolda Gombrowicza do slovenčiny a reinterpretovať implikované v texte kultúrne faktory, čí nie sú bariérou v procese prekladu.

The article presents the problem of cultural barriers in Slovak translation of Witold Gombrowicz’s Ferdydurke which was published in a new translation horizon in 2004. The roman was translated by a very well known Slovak translator — Jozef Marušiak. The author of the article shows the translation strategies which were used by him to overcome cultural barriers and reconstruct foreign mental mechanisms as part of different culture. The strategies exploited in the process of reinterpretation of the original meanings were the literal strategy combined with the strategy of neutralization of foreign cultural facts. The question is if it is possible to translate complicated prose of Witold Gombrowicz to Slovak and reinterpret implicated in the original text cultural facts and whether they constitute the cultural barrier in the process of translation.

The author of the paper characterizes Slovak literature translated into Polish in 2016. She analyzes in detail the translations of Slovak prose Piata loď by Monika Kompaníkova (in the Polish version Piąta łódź), Informácia by Maroš Krajňák (Informacja) and Zu by Silvster Lavrík (Zu). She also interprets Polish translations of Slovak prose in anthologies Portrety z bliska and Tu i teraz, which include the prose of Radovan Brenkus, Ľudovít Petraško, Peter Karpinský, Martin Vlado and women writers from the associations Aspekt and Femina, among others, Mária Bátorová, Jana Bodnárová, Etela Farkašová, Jana Juráňová, Helena Dvořáková, Rúth Lichnerová, Eva Maliti Fraňová. The author of the paper is interested in reception of Slovak contemporary literature in the secondary horizon.

Vo svojom príspevku pod titulom Jozef Marušiak — prekladateľ — komparatista ideálny? autorka Marta Buczek sa zaoberá problémom nevyhnutných vzťahov súčasnej novej komparatistiky a translatolgie. Predložená v príspevku teória súčasnej komparatistiky a translatologie dokazuje, že sú to discipliny vzajomne spojené predmetom výskumu. Predmet záujmu komparatistiky sa zhoduje s rozsahom záujmu výskumu prekladu. Posun smerom k komparatistickému vnímaniu prekladu upozornil na tvorivú úlohu prekladov a tvorivú úlohu prekladateľa v kultúre a literatúre. V ďalšej časti príspevku autorka analyzuje prekladateľskú čínnosť známeho slovenského prekladateľa poľskej literatúry — Jozefa Marušiaka. Odpovedá na otázku, kto je komparatista ideálny, a čí možno slovenského prekladateľa predpokladať za komparatistu ideálneho.

In the article under the title Jozef Marušiak — the translator — the prefect comparatist? the author Marta Buczek raises the problem of necessary relationships between new Comparative Studies and Translation Studies. The theory of Comparative Studies and Translation Studies presented in this paper shows that that disciplines are closely connected to each other by the subject of research. The subject of interest of the Comparative Studies is consistent with the interest of research in Translation Studies. Turning towards comparative perception of the translation has focused its attention on the creative role of translation in the culture and the creative role of the translator. In the next part of the article the author analyzes the translation activity of well known Slovak translator of Polish literature — Jozef Marušiak. The author answers the question, who is the perfect comparatist and if the Slovak translator can be assumed for the perfect comparatist.

Autor článku skúma najnovšie preklady slovenskej literatúry v Poľsku v roku 2015. Medzi veľmi dobrých a známych slovenských autorov, ktorých preklady boli nedávno publikované, patria súčasní a moderní predstavitelia mladej generácie (Pavol Rankov, Peter Krištúfek, Maroš Krajňak, Jana Beňová) a staršej generácie (Pavel Vilikovský, Daniela Kapitáňová). Ich knihy boli veľmi dobre prijaté poľskými príjemcami a to vedie k tomu, že slovenská literatúra v Poľsku je čítaná s rastúcim záujmom. Tento článok berie do úvahy aj poľské preklady slovenskej poézie. Z prieskumu vyplýva neustále znižovanie počtu prekladov tohto druhu literatúry. V roku 2015 boli publikované len tri malé antológie poézie. Týmto spôsobom slovenskú poéziu zastupuje niekoľko menej známych miestnych básnikov (Radovan Brenkus a Pavol Hudák).

The author of the article considers the latest translations of Slovak literature in Poland in 2015. Among very well -known and valued Slovak authors whose translations have been published recently are contemporary and modern authors of the younger generation (Pavol Rankov, Peter Krištúfek, Maroš Krajňak, Jana Beňova) and the older generation (Pavel Vilikovský, Daniela Kapitáňová). Their books were very well received by Polish recipients and it occurs that Slovak literature in Poland is read with steadily growing interest. The article concerns Polish translations of Slovak poetry as well. The survey shows a decreasing number of translations of this kind of literature. In 2015 only three small anthologies of poetry were published. In this way, Slovak poetry was represented by a few local poets (Radovan Brenkus and Pavol Hudák).

Príspevok autorky Marty Buczek sa týka slovenskej literatúry preloženej do poľského jazyka v posledných rokoch 2013 a 2014. Autorka sa zaoberá problémom prekladu súčasnej slovenskej literatúry, ktorá skúma problematiku stredoeurópskej totožnosti v stredoeurópskom priestore. Uvažuje o slovenských dielach a ich recepcii v poľskom horizonte čitateľov. Podrobne analyzuje preklady, ktoré v poľskom priestore plnia úlohu mediácie, podporujú porozumenie a pochopenie medzi dvoma kultúrami patriacimi ku spoločnému stredoeurópskemu kruhu. Posledné poľské preklady slovenskej súčasnej literatúry, medzi ktoré patria prózy Pavla Rankova, Pavla Vilikovského a eseje Rudolfa Chmela, dopĺňajú v poľskom priestore znalosť slovenskej kultúry, literatury a dejín. Taktiež zvyšujú povedomie poľského čitateľa, jeho citlivosť a schopnosť vnímania innej a rôznorodej kultúry. Inšpirujú skúmanie a objavovanie nových významov rôznorodého stredoeurópskeho sveta.

The article concerns Slovak literature translated into Polish in recent years, 2013 and 2014. The author focuses on the problem of the translation of contemporary Slovak literature that examines the issue of Central European identity in Central Europe. She considers the latest Slovak literary works and their reception in the Polish horizon, as well as analyses translations which in the Polish horizon play the role of mediation, and promote understanding between two cultures belonging to the common Central European circle. Recent translations of contemporary Slovak literature, including Pavol Rankov, Pavel Vilikovský, Rudolf Chmel, compliment the knowledge about Slovak culture, literature and history among Polish readers. They also raise their awareness for diverse sensitivity and ability of perception. They also inspire exploration and search for new meanings.

V svojom članku autorka uvažuje na tému prekladových výborov Jacka Bukowského, poľského prekladateľa prózy Václava Pankovčína, predstaviteľa mládej generácie slovenských spisovateľov, debutujúcich na začiatku 90 tých rokov. Zbierka krátkych poviedok Marakéš (1994) a novela Tri ženy pod orechom (1996), ktoré boli publikované v Poľsku pod názvom Marakesz (2006) sú ojedinelé preklady slovenskej prózy vychádzajúce v tomto roku. Autorka članku rozvažuje výbor prekladovej stratégie a jeho konzekvencie.

The author presents in this paper her consideration of the strategy of translation taken by Jacek Bukowski, polish translator of Václav Pankovčín prose. Short stories Marakéš (1994) and the novel Tri ženy pod orechom (1996) by Václav Pankovčín were publicated in Poland under the title Marakesz (2006) and are the only one example of slovak prose transalted into polish this year. The author of the paper discusses transtlatological problems of the prose wchich strongly corespondents with magical realism, she concentrates on the semantic signals of the text, significant elements of the structure which define the boundary‑line of the meaning space of Václav Pankovčín works. Finaly she reflects on the transfer of implicated senses and meanings from original into translation. She reflects how in proces of translation the translator transfered hormony of fundamental codes of the original (lexical, semantics, cultural and estetic).

Autora príspevku sa zameriava na konkrétnu školu prekladu, ktorej základy formulovala v slovakistickom prostredí druhej polovice 20. storočia známa poľská prekladateľka slovenskej literatúry Danuta Abrahamowicz. V príspevku sa definujú všetky aspekty prekladateľskej činností Abrahamowicz. Výskumy v rámci literárnej vedy, kritická, publikačná, redakčná a prekladateľská činnosť, všetky tieto vystúpenia ukazujú jej metódu vnímania prekladu a zdôrazňujú spôsoby, ktorými Abrahamowicz ho implementuje v novy horizont príjmu, aby sa stal faktom prijímajúcej kultúry.

The author of the article focuses on the specific school of translation formulated by the well‑known Polish translator of Slovak literature, Danuta Abrahamowicz in the Slovak environment of the second half of the 20th century. The article defines all aspects of Abrahamowicz’s translatological activities. Her literary studies, critical, publishing, editorial and translation activity are examined in the article and finally, the article shows the ways in which Abrahamowicz perceived translation and the various ways of implementing it in a new horizon of reception to become a fact of the target culture.

Autorka určuje spôsob interpretácie a transferu sémantiky originálu v preklade. Zaujima ju, akým spôsobom sa prekladateľovi Haličských poviedok podarilo preložiť aspekt zmiešania kultúr.

The article deals with the question of intercultural dialogue in Slovak translation of Andrzej Stasiuk book under the title "Opowieści galicyjskie". The author draws attention to translation problems resulting from the peculiarity of origin, in which a dialog of many cultures decides about the inner structure of a text. The author discusses translation problems focuses on text signals, significant structure elements which state the limits of semantic area of the origin. It defines the way of reading and transfering the sense of origin implied in translation. The author considers what extent the translator of Opowieści galicyjskie managed to transfer in translation the aspects of cultures mix up and coexistence.
