n the article author compares authoritarian systems in Europę, which were ex- istingbetween 1920 to 1938. Author shows how different those systems were in the Interwar period, existingboth in republican and monarchical political system. Authoritarianisms can be classified by different criteria: style of rule, type of leader (military, bureaucratic), position of opposition, economic system. Author notices, that for some authoritarianisms characteristic is the matter of creating a monoparty justafter coming to power by authoritarian forces: it is not political party coming to power, but the power in the country is creating loyal party. Article shows, that apart from some common features, significant differences between European authoritarianisms were existing.
