The main aim of this article is to present the analysis of the approaches to the idea of emancipation in grades 1–3. The study was conducted by the second-year students of the second degree of pedagogy of early childhood. This article attempts to identify the values recognized by the authors of works to be important in early childhood education, preferred ways of achieving the goals and the teacher–student relationship. The results of analysis of educational projects enrich the research participants’ statements. The last part of the text are the conclusions.

Głównym celem artykułu jest prezentacja analizy opracowanych przez studentki II roku II st. pedagogiki wczesnoszkolnej koncepcji realizacji idei emancypacyjnej w klasach I–III. W artykule podjęto próbę wskazania wartości uznanych przez autorki prac za ważne w edukacji wczesnoszkolnej, preferowanych sposobów osiągania celów oraz relacji nauczyciel– uczeń. Wyniki analizy projektów edukacyjnych wzbogacają wypowiedzi uczestniczek badań. Ostatnią część tekstu stanowią wnioski.

The author of the article discusses basic assumptions of action research as a method of research. Analyzing the course of mathematics classes in the third grade, she refers to selected pedagogical discourses. The article presents selected findings illustrating how children who are treated in accordance with the idea “to educate is to guide” function in open situations that encourage them to make decisions, express opinions, and evaluate.
