The author comments are focused on the theory of hegemony presented in the middle 80s by Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe. In 1996, Alan Sokal published in the periodical 'Social Text' an article which was a parody of postmodernist authors achievements. He wanted to prove that they wrongly interpreted and used some mathematical and physical expressions and thus, their works were nothing but 'fashionable nonsense'. The author analyses Sokal's accusations and shows that in case of postmodernism the Rudolf Carnap's method of criticism of methaphysics can be used.
