Niniejsze opracowanie poświęcono tematyce ryzyka prowadzenia działalności gospodarczej. Zdefiniowano pojęcia niepewności i ryzyka, omówiono cztery podstawowe grupy ryzyka: ryzyko operacyjne, finansowe, strategiczne i losowe. W odniesieniu do każdej z wymienionych grup wygenerowano czynniki, które obecnie w największym stopniu wpływają na funkcjonowanie firm z grupy małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw. Praca zawiera także odniesienia do istoty oraz etapów zarządzania ryzykiem.

This study is devoted to the subject matter of the risk of running business. The author defined the notion of uncertainty and risk, discussed the four basic groups of risk: the operating, financial, strategic and casualty risk. Related to every of the specified groups, there were generated the factors which at present affect to the greatest degree on functioning of firms from the group of small and medium--sized enterprises. The work includes also references to the essence and stages of risk management.
