The article aims to establish what the young people intended to do after finishing school and how the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine affected their plans at the time of the research. The main finding of the study is that most of the respondents planned to continue their education after completing high school. Significantly, it was not the two global crises. but personal factors, such as the fear of not doing well enough at examinations or failing to find one’s way on the labour market, that the respondents regarded as obstacles that threatened the realisation of their plans.
