The article is focused on development of the agrarian sector after the accession of the SR to the EU. Article evaluates the position of agrarian sector in the national economy, the competitive capability at the internal and foreign markets and the impact of business environment on economy. The effectiveness of companies under the productions is being analysed. In comparison with agrarian companies in EU, persist low efficiency of majority companies and small accent is given to the production intensification and to the cost management.

The paper examines the importance of the strategic decision-making process on the example of Slovak micro-companies and very small businesses. It was found that effective strategic decision making significantly increases their performance, success and survival. The insight into the processes of researched businesses is beneficial, mainly because of a lack of attention compared to large enterprises. The main object of the paper is to analyse their strategic decision- making process on theoretical and practical level and through a synthesis of the knowledge to highlight the dominant model of strategic decision-making process in researched enterprises and the mechanisms used by managers of these enterprises in the strategic decision making in today's business environment.

The job satisfaction of middle healthcare managers affects organizational results of healthcare facilities. Purpose of the paper is to explore the relationship between competent leadership and work conditions with the job satisfaction of middle healthcare managers and the role of job autonomy and social support as mediators of this relationship, and to verify the influence of moderators – evaluation and ability of psychological detachment on strength of this relationship. The sample of quantitative questionnaire research consisted of 225 mid-level managers of healthcare facilities in Slovakia. The data were processed using the SPSS 24 software package. The findings show that managerially competent leadership is directly related to the job satisfaction of middle healthcare management. This effect can be strengthened by evaluation of work; psychological detachment has the opposite effect on the researched relationship. Social support and job autonomy act as mediators, the influence of social support is particularly important.
