The article presents the concept of social work by Helena Radlińska’s (1879–1954). This theory can be a source of inspiration for new generations of social workers for its practical application, as well as for researchers currently dealing with both social work and, in a broader context, social policy. The author shows the selected achievements of this prominent as well as illustrates the most important views of Radlińska, relevant for the development of science and the practice of social welfare at that time. In addition, it is important to present the relationship of this concept with pedagogical praxeology in the area of effectiveness of actions.

Artykuł przedstawia koncepcję pracy społecznej opracowanej przez Helenę Radlińską (1879–1954). Teoria ta może stanowić źródło inspiracji nowych pokoleń pracowników socjalnych do jej praktycznego zastosowania, jak również może być inspirująca dla badaczy zajmujących się obecnie zarówno pracą socjalną, a w szerszym kontekście polityką społeczną. Zamierzeniem autorki tekstu jest prezentacja wybranych osiągnięć tej powszechnie znanej i wybitnej przedstawicielki pedagogiki, a także wskazanie najważniejszych poglądów Radlińskiej, istotnych dla rozwoju nauki oraz praktyki ówczesnej opieki społecznej. Ponadto ważne do przedstawienia jest także ukazanie związków tej koncepcji z prakseologią pedagogiczną, w obszarze skuteczności działań.
