Właściwym celem artykułu jest dokonanie analizy wielkości i struktury podatku dochodowego od osób fizycznych prowadzących działalność gospodarczą, wraz z wyjaśnieniami dotyczącymi różnych form opodatkowania dochodu na przykładzie Urzędu Skarbowego w Miechowie. Przebieg procedury badawczej objął w pierwszej kolejności krytyczną analizę dostępnej literatury przedmiotu. Następnie badaniem objęto liczbę podatników, jak i wartość wpływów z tytułu podatku dochodowego od osób fizycznych prowadzących działalność gospodarczą na terenie funkcjonowania Urzędu Skarbowego w Miechowie w latach 2004-2013. W końcowej części artykułu dokonano interpretacji dokonanych obliczeń, sformułowano wnioski i zweryfikowano postawioną hipotezę badawczą.(fragment tekstu)

The ongoing changes in Poland result in specific transformations taking place in tax system, especially in income taxes. Personal Income Tax (PIT) is a direct tax levied on small business or on income of a person. A person means an individual, an ordinary partnership, a non-juristic body of person and an undivided estate. The article discusses changes in income taxes for business. The main aim of the paper is to prepare the analysis of the structure in income taxes for small business owners. The hypothesis has been examined by a method based on critical analysis of Polish and foreign literature on taxes. The critical analysis of literature and of available statistical data confirmed the research hypothesis. It means that the small business owners use taxes according common rules and a flat tax. The last one is the very popular type of paying taxes. In this case, small business owners pay the same tax rate regardless of their income level.(original abstract)
