Przedmiotem opracowania są efekty BIZ na rynku pracy w Polsce, w szczególności efekt ilościowy w dziedzinie zatrudnienia (liczba miejsc pracy). Próbowano rozpoznać zależność między napływem kapitału z tytułu bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych w Polsce a zatrudnieniem w badanym okresie. W artykule przedstawiono w różnych aspektach krótką, empiryczną charakterystykę spółek z kapitałem zagranicznym w Polsce. Zestawiono dynamikę powstawania spółek z kapitałem zagranicznym z dynamiką zatrudnienia. Problem przedstawiono też w ujęciu regionalnym. Wyniki przeprowadzonej analizy wskazują na niejednoznaczny wpływ bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych na kształtowanie się poziomu i struktury zatrudnienia w Polsce w badanym okresie. W różnych latach tego okresu efekt ilościowy w dziedzinie zatrudnienia był różny.

The subject of the study are the effects of FDI on the labour market in Poland, in particular, quantity effect on employment (number of workplaces). The author attempted to recognize the correlation between the inflow of capital for foreign direct investments in Poland and employment in the analyzed period. The article presents the various aspects of the brief, empirical characteristics of companies with foreign capital in Poland. The dynamics of the establishment of companies with foreign capital has been compiled with the dynamics of employment. The problem has been presented also by the regional embrace. The results of the analysis indicate ambiguous impact of foreign direct investment on the level and structure of employment in Poland in the analyzed period. The quantitative effect of employment was different in various years of this period.

Transformations of employment structures reflect changes in the economic structure. This structure is closely related to economic development. The importance and complexity of this field make structural changes one of the most important areas of scientific research. Detailed recognition and deepening of knowledge about sectoral transformations of employment structures, as well as current and future trends in this area, are necessary for finding optimal solutions that will accelerate changes in the economy. The purpose of the study is to identify and evaluate changes in the sectoral employment structure in the Silesian Voivodeship in the years 2009-2017, with particular emphasis on intra-sectoral changes in the service sector. In connection with this, an analysis of structural changes was carried out in the Silesian Voivodeship in the examined period. The research was based on data obtained from the Local Data Bank. The analysis of structural changes in employment was conducted using structure and dynamics indicators as well as one of the known measures of structure diversity. The results of the analysis allowed this study to recognize and assess changes within the sectoral employment structure within the studied region.
