Статијава ги споредува основните изрази на времето во бакланските јазици. Се забележува разновидноста во глаголите врзани со дожд и снег, со тоа дека од лексичката гледна точка бугарскиот вали и македонскиот врне се различни (за разлика од констатацијата на Георгиев и др.), но од етимолошко-семантична гледна точка тие се сврзани. Во врска со изрази на ладност, грчкиот иалбанскиот одат заедно со прави додека сите други балкански јазици освен ароманскиот го употребуваат глаголот сум. Ароманскиот ги има двата израза, и тоа го изразуваа неговата положба на Балканот.
