W artykule naszkicowano rozległe zagadnienie sieciowości współcze-snych organizmów miejskich. Sieci określają już nie tylko przestrzenną konstrukcję miast, strukturę społeczności miejskiej czy nawet logikę zachodzących w nich procesów, ale całkowicie dominują samą narracj ę miejskiego fenomenu. Sieci pozwalają ponadto na nowo zrozumieć to, co zaczęto już uznawać za niepodlegające jakiemukolwiek rozumieniu, za chaotyczne. Sieci wyznaczają nowy alfabet miejskiej narracji, który umożliwia dostrzeżenie i opisanie nowego miejskiego sensu – logiki sieci. Zdaniem Autora po-dejście sieciowe pozwoli na budowanie coraz bardziej holistycznych modeli miast.

The paper presents the broad issue of networking with respect to contempo-rary urban structures. Nowadays, networks not only determine spatial frameworks of cities, social structures of urban communities, or even the pure logic of ongoing urban processes, but downright totally dominate the very narration of the urban phenomenon. Moreover, networks allow understanding afresh what has already been considered unin-telligible and chaotic. Networks provide a new alphabet of urban narration, which con-tribute to recognizing and describing this new urban meaning – the network logic. Finally, the author argues that the network approach allows constructing more and more holistic models of cities.
