W niniejszym artykule autorka podejmuje próbę interpretacji językowych obrazów Katowic, utrwalonych w wypowiedziach mieszkańców i przybyszów. Miasto, szczególnie współczesna metropolia, rozpatrywane jest w kategoriach tekstu, zdarzenia komunikacyjnego. Celem pracy jest uchwycenie cech wyróżniających sposoby obrazowania miasta przez poszczególne grupy odbiorcze. Fundament analizy stanowi kategoria punktu widzenia oraz językowego obrazu świata, które to pojęcia determinują waloryzację i sposoby "czytania miasta".

The aim of the article is to present the selected digital tools for language analysis which may be applied in the academic didactics during course classes in linguistics. In the first part of the article advanced corpus search engines were discussed, for instance, National Corpus of Polish (NKJP), National Photo-corpus of the Polish Language (NFJP), as well as ChronoPress – Press Texts Portal, Spokes – corpora of conversational speech, and corpus search engine Monco PL. The second part is dedicated to the tools and applications for the individual creation of browsable language resources (Korpusomat, Virtual Laboratory of Transcription), as well as for the complex analysis of the relationships between language units (plWordnet) and the measurement of the degree of the text comprehension (Jasnopis).

Przedmiotem artykułu są sposoby modelowania znaczeń leksemu szczepionka w dyskursie antyszczepionkowym, który podczas pandemii SARS-CoV-2 coraz silniej wybrzmiewa w przestrzeni komunikacyjnej. Teoretyczne zaplecze analiz stanowią założenia lingwistyki dyskursu oraz lingwistyki korpusowej. Ogląd kolokacji wskazanej jednostki, jej tekstowych ekwiwalentów, znaczeń asocjacyjnych czy kontekstów występowania wykazał, że w badanym dyskursie przestała być ona nominacją neutralną, obrosła natomiast negatywnymi interpretacjami, zgodnymi z poglądami i ideologią wspólnoty dyskursywnej negującej zasadność szczepień.

The article discusses methods of modelling the szczepionka (‘vaccine’) lexeme meanings in the anti-vaccine discourse which has become more and more pronounced in the communication space during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Assumptions of the linguistics of discourse and corpus linguistics constitute the theoretical background of the analyses. The analysis of the collocations of the indicated units, its textual equivalents, associative meanings or occurrence contexts has showed that in the discourse examined it has ceased to be a neutral nomination, but has been overgrown with negative interpretations consistent with the view and ideology of the discursive community denying the legitimacy of vaccinations.

The article analyzes communication strategies that reveal the knowledge of and power over a memory narrative connected to The Warsaw Uprising – one of the most crucial events for Poland, and in the history of World War II. The interviews carried out with insurgents and civilians – participants of the 1944 events, constituted the base for the research. Over 1,900 verbal activities of people conducting meetings with witnesses of history were subjected to a detailed review. The authors of the article were primarily interested in these activities’ influence on the shape of the memory narrative. The interpretation of the collected material is accomplished within the confines of critical discourse analysis which focuses on the relationship of knowledge and power as manifested in specific ways language is used.
