The revitalization process of postindustrial areas is extremely time consuming and capital intensive. It requires the involvement of many partners, including political partners at various levels (from local to international level). Its purpose is to introduce new functions and to prevent degradation of the objects which, by socio-economic changes, no longer perform their original functions. Article points to the need for revitalization process as an opportunity to save the degraded objects. Indicates the introduction of a new function area, which will rely on tourism. Its aim is the integration of similar objects in the region andincreasing the chance of effective promotion and attract customers who are interested in visiting places based on this kind of heritage.This article aims to identify both the process of revitalizing the old factory buildings in Lodz and its region, which can protect them from further destruction, as well as an indication of the potential functions that can accept post-industrial areas.The first section will present reflections on the cultural and postindustrial heritage. The next issue will be devoted to revitalization. Then the possibilities will be presented related to the adoption of new functions by the revitalized buildings, with particular emphasis on tourism function.

The idea of partnership is not new issue in the integrative management. The partnerships, which can be found in this concept relate to achieve the goals connected to the city development including the various stages of the management of its stakeholders. It is important to promote interactions that occur between sectors: public and private sectors in the form of public-private partnerships. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate very strong associations that exist in the municipality dealing with various partners, including business partners. In the latter context, will present the results of surveys on the perception among the various users of the revitalization of the city. The last point is a set of proposals for the use of assumptions in the activities of the PPP government from local to central level.
