The authoress presents the oral history project 'Touching' carried out under the aegis of the Institute of Philosophy, NAS of Ukraine. The publication contains the speeches of participants of presentation of the book “Vilen Horskyi: touches, meanings, contemplations”, published in Kyiv in 2011 (edited by Maryna Tkachuk; compiled by Maryna Tkachuk and Liudmyla Arkhypova). The publication was dedicated to 80th anniversary of Vilen Horskyi (27.10.1931—27.05.2007), a notable Ukrainian philosopher and historian of philosophy, doctor of sciences in philosophy, professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine. The speeches emphasize a significant value of the presented book in the development of philosophical culture in Ukraine; they also represent Horskyi’s unique image as a scientist, educator and the Person.
