Herbert is interested in questions that are not answered. An essay Albigensians, Inquisi-tors and Troubadours is one of those texts which raises the problem of relationship between God, human being and religion. When he delves to scientific studies about cathars, culture of troubadours, he wants to reveal human, private eagerness to a bond with the Mistery (relegere). When he defends destroyed culture, he also demands the right to be themselves, even when the force, that holds power in Europe, designates for murdered the role of “barbarian”.
