The article deals with morphosyntactic and semantico-stylistic peculiarities of the numerals '1' and '11' in the Early Old Russian language. The description also includes their ordinal correspondences - the numerals 'first' and 'eleventh'. The article proves the undoubtful part of speech status of these words as pure numerals though the numeral '1' has a pronominal declension and the numeral 'first' - adjectival. The Slavic numerals 'one' and 'first' continue Indo-European forms. The numeral' 11' in Old Slavonic was compaund and was formed according the pattern which can be found in some other Indo-European languages. The semantico-stylistic peculiarities of the given numerals are determined by their first place in a counting row. Rare deviations form the pronominal declension (for example vocative) are determined, in their turn, by ist semantico-stylistic peculiarities. In this case we should speak of so-called grammatical symbolism. Unlike of the numerals 'one' and 'tirst' are polysemantic. The numeral '11' has a symbolic meaning as well as other numerals. The article presents new language material, including that of manuscripts.
