Poznawanie dziedzictwa kulinarnego stało się z jednym z ważnych aspektów podróżowania nie tylko po Polsce, ale i po świecie. Kuchnia regionalna stanowi element promocji kraju i poszczególnych regionów, stąd też pojawienie się pewnych trendów powrotu do tradycyjnych receptur. Celem pracy jest przybliżenie kuchni staropolskiej i regionalnej z uwzględnieniem wizerunku regionu. Scharakteryzowano w niej wpływ kuchni innych narodów na kuchnię polską. Dziedzictwo kulinarne niezależnie od charakteru jest nieodzownym elementem rozwoju turystyki, w tym w dużej mierze turystyki międzynarodowej. Istotną rolę mogą odgrywać placówki gastronomiczne, które podtrzymują regionalne tradycje na danym obszarze.Żywność regionalna jest zatem ważnym elementem kształtowania wizerunku regionu i symbolem atrakcyjności turystycznej. Wychodząc jednak na przeciw nowym wyzwaniom zdrowego stylu życia w Polsce i Europie istnieje potrzeba połączenia aspektu tradycyjnego żywności i nowoczesnego stylu żywienia. W pracy wykorzystano metodę przeglądu na podstawie wybranych baz danych.

The aim of work: Exploring the culinary heritage has become one of the most important aspects of travel in Poland, and also World. Regional cuisine could be one of the elements of the promotion of the country. Region promotion is one of the trends which are part of the return to traditional recipes. Aim of this paper was to introduce the traditional Polish cuisine and regional specialties with including the image of the region. Results: The study characterized the other cuisines influence on the Polish cuisine. Culinary heritage could be an essential element in the development of regional tourism and international food. Gastronomical facility which serves traditional and regional dishes plays an important role in this promotion. Social implications: Regional Food is an important part of shaping region image, and could be the symbol of the tourist attractiveness. The practical implications: The combination aspect of traditional food and modern-style nutrition in Poland and Europe is needed. Research Methodology: Literature review based on the selected database.
