Region świętokrzyski jest czystym i atrakcyjnie ukształtowanym regionem turystycznym, z dużą liczbą zabytków, szlaków i innych turystycznych atrakcji. Turyści zachwyceni są gościnnością, mitami, legendami zachowanymi przez mieszkańców dla przyszłych pokoleń. Region ten oferuje też wiele produktów turystycznych, w tym dla młodzieży szkolnej. Jego tereny pokryte są siecią szlaków turystycznych oraz obiektów kultury materialnej i niematerialnej. W regionie świętokrzyskim funkcjonuje również wiele sanatoriów oferujących urozmaicone zabiegi lecznicze.
