Artykuł zawiera opis struktury własności psychometrycznych Inwentarza źródełs stresu w zawodzie kuratora. Szacowanie własności psychometryczne skali koncentrowało się na szacowani jej rzetelności, trafności oraz mocy dyskryminacyjnej pozycji narzędzia. Testowi poddano grupę Kuratorów Sądowych z Sądu Okręgowego w Warszawie, Sądu Okręgowego Warszawa Praga oraz Sądu Okręgowego we Włocławku. Badanie wykazało, że skala ma wysoki poziom trafności oraz jest rzetelnym narzędziem diagnostycznym.

The paper describes the architecture and the psychometric features of the Stress Factors Inventory for Probation Officers. The assessment of psychometric features of this scale has been focused on its reliability, relevance and its discriminating power. Research subjects were probation officers who work in the territory under the competence of the Regional Court of Praga-Południe District, the Regional Court in Warsaw and the Regional Court in Włocławek. The research results have shown a high reliability and relevance of the analyzed diagnostic tool.

The article titled “The Internet as a Potential risk in the Opinion of Students and their Parents” presents the results of studies on the risks inherent in the Internet. It features a comparative analysis of children’s activity on the Net as seen by themselves and their parents. In this way it was possible to identify areas in which parents have no real awareness of their children’s activity on the Internet.

Artykuł zawiera rezultaty badań na temat klimatu społecznego zespołów kuratorskich. W badaniach wykorzystano dwie skale: Krótką Skalę Oceny Klimatu Społecznego Zespołów Kuratorskich autorstwa Bartłomieja Skowrońskiego oraz Skalę Wypalenia Sił autorstwa Wiesławy Okły i Stanisławy Steuden. W badaniach wzięli udział kuratorzy sądowi z okręgów: warszawsko-praskiego, warszawskiego, włocławskiego, sieradzkiego oraz bydgoskiego. Wyniki badań ujawniły istotne korelacje między klimatem społecznym, a wypaleniem zawodowym kuratorów.

The paper present results from the study on social climate in probation teams. The study was carried out with the use of two scales, i.e. Probation Team Social Climate Short Assessment Scale by Bartłomiej Skowroński and the Burnout Scale developed by Wiesława Okła and Stanisława Steuden. The project included probation officers from the following court regions: Warsaw-Praga, Warsaw, Włocławek, Sieradz and Bydgoszcz. Research results reveal some significant correlations between the variables of social climate and probation officers’ burnout levels.

This article is a theoretical and empirical analysis of the values declared by teenage mothers. It provides an overview of the existing research on the values of youth with particular emphasis on the values of mothers who are minors and then discusses the results of the author’s own research studies. The studies are comparative in nature and include two control groups: high school girls and mothers co-creating a complete family. Specialized statistical methods were used to analyze the data in the studies: analysis of variance and analysis of profiles using the coefficient rc Cohen.

Factors related to personal quality of life in prison inmates

Objectives The aim of the study was to analyze the determinants of prison inmates’ personal quality of life (PQoL). Material and Methods Three hundred ninety men imprisoned in penitentiary institutions were assessed. Data were collected by means of the the Sense of Quality of Life Questionnaire, the General Self-Esteem Scale, the Social Support Scale, the Resiliency Assessment Scale, the Trait Personality Inventory, which have high validity and reliability. All models were specified in structural equations modeling using Mplus v. 8.2. Results The positive correlates of PQoL are: self-efficacy, social support, and ego-resiliency. The negative correlate of PQoL is trait depression. The study confirmed that 2 factors affected ego-resiliency: self-efficacy and trait depression. Conclusions All significant factors, such as self-efficacy, social support, ego-resiliency, or trait depression, should be taken into account in rehabilitation programs.
