EN
In this paper the author analyzes six anonymous texts written in French during the 90's of the 20th c. and published by the World Lebanese Organization. He focalizes on deformation of Lebanese national symbols: language, territory and Lebanese people. The corpus, which is satirical reaction to the Taif Accords (1989) reinforcing Syrian supervision of Lebanon, represents anti-(pan)Arab and anti-Muslim ideas. From a sociolinguistic point of view it is similar to propaganda materials published in Modern Standard Arabic and Lebanese dialects by Christian militias in Beirut between 1975-1990.
