Recent studies on the search for a formula design business strategy have focused on development and restructuring. The universalist approach, marketing and financials are predominant in these studies. They focus on ways to achieve competitive advantage, sustainable development, and concern also the choice of sectors and market segments, sources of financing, and the allocation of funds. The purpose of this article is to review approaches to design and to provide a universal interpretation of management strategies. More specifically, it seeks to review design process management strategy, including the design of global business and organisational change.

The paper presents issues concerning the operation and activities of museums in Poland, in the context of their importance with regard to the scope and trends of tourism development at both regional and local levels. The authors focus on organizational, legal, and economical aspects of the Polish museums, especially in the years of 2007–2013. The period created a number of favourable opportunities for many sectors such as culture, tourism, sport, allowing for their development, stabilization, or even ‘social expansion’. The Duszniki-Zdrój Museum of Papermaking presents an example for the use of these opportunities, and at the same time of modern solutions for exhibition, education, and pedagogy. The article describes, among others, the structure and conditions of the Duszniki Museum, which could be a perfect reflection on the current trends for most museum objects in Poland. These include the current traditionalism of museums, supported by activities of interactive, virtual, and practical character, which lead to a dominant status of the tourist product on the local, regional, and state level.

Funkcjonowanie firmy, w wysoce złożonym i nieprzewidywalnym otoczeniu, zależy od jej zdolności do zmian i rozwoju, które są mierzone w perspektywie czasowej wyznaczonej przez jej strategię. Sukces przedsiębiorstwa zależy zarówno od działań operacyjnych, ale w dużej mierze zdeterminowany jest przez wskazanie określonego kierunku działań. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja strategicznych czynników sukcesu przedsiębiorstwa. Identyfikacja została przeprowadzona w odniesieniu do najważniejszych obszarów funkcjonalnych tj: marketingu, finansów, zarządzania personelem i zarządzania wiedzą. A characteristic feature of the knowledge economy in the twenty-first century is the growing importance of enterprise collaboration efforts meant to maintain and strengthen their competitive position. Enterprises can thus more easily achieve set goals and develop their market, financial, and manufacturing potential. Cooperation affects integration between suppliers, leading to the exchange of knowledge and improved management systems and processes. Cooperation plays a significant role in the functioning of the organisation and may significantly boost effectiveness. Rational cooperation both between and within companies can contribute to the actual use of their potential, which is reflected in their further development. An example worthy of attention is cooperation in joint projects, as it is these very projects that generate company progress and development. The purpose of this article is to examine the forms of cooperation in the framework of projects and identify the effects of cooperation and their limitations, as well as to identify the risks that may arise as a result of cooperation.

Technology parks constitute one of the most advanced institutional forms contributing to the activation of regional development. This modern organisational form enables wide cooperation among enterprises, for which raising the competitiveness of both the companies and regions in which technology parks function is a purpose. It may be said that parks are a base „of the knowledge-based economy”, and a very opportune offer for foreign investors and Polish ones alike. This article focuses on the presentation of different models of technology parks functioning in Poland.

Changes taking place in the modern economy make it increasingly difficult to manage the company. Management of the enterprise is connected with taking action in areas such as: shaping the organizational structure, relationship building market, etc. Organizational strategy allows the use of innovation and the creativity of all employees to achieving market advantage. The aim of this article is to present the methods and techniques of improving organizational strategies used to build the modern structural solutions. Particular attention will be paid to the methods and techniques for improving organizational structures which are the main instruments of the design and implementation of organizational strategies.
