The paper presents the characteristic of the quantity category in verbal groups in Russian. There are three basic types of the plural situations: multiplicative, distributive, and iterative. This paper provides a description of the verbal and non-verbal lexical means of conveying the accurate meanings of the category of verbal discreteness. This study also addresses the issue of deploying aspect in the contexts of limited and unlimited discreteness. We adopt a modified version of V. Chrakovsky’s classification of the semantic plurality situation-types presented in his monograph Typology of Iterative Constructions.

Functioning today in the alive modern language of the paremies and them constructs remain relicts fallen asleep in time and outside of time of a national cultural and language formation. It can be defined as semantic language of folklore. Language of folklore represents harmonous metasign system of over-verbal level. In its basis lays archaic mythological representations of cultural and national society. For this system lexemes, as constructive units of the folklore text, and their semantic filling in a metalanguage context of folklore are not important.

The article is devoted to the comparative analysis of the suffixally transmitted distinctions of forms – designations of relationship in lexical-semantic, usual and expressive aspects. These distinctions are capable to lexicalisation, embodying, on the one hand, the semantics of categories determining the complexes of ideas of relationship, and with another, semantics od suffixes, only at a superficial level perceived as parameters of a subjective estimation. Both was shown on an example of correlarion of 0 / -к- / -ушк- for some words from the group of relationship. The further analysis, with definition of the specified categories and probable meanings of formants, assumes of more detailed deepening in a material and wide using of the comparative data.
